Ready light blinks
amber.
Wait. Resume picture taking when the light stops blinking and turns
green.
Ready light blinks
red and camera
turns off.
Install new batteries (see page 1) or charge rechargeable batteries.
Ready light glows
steady red.
Transfer pictures to the computer (see page 45), delete pictures from
the camera (see page 15), switch image storage locations (see
page 31), or insert a card with available memory (see page 3).
Wait. Resume picture taking when the light turns green.
Change the image storage location to internal memory (see page 31),
or use a different card.
Ready light is off or
glows steady
green.
Camera is operating normally.

The computer does
not communicate
with the camera.
Turn on the camera (see page 2).
Install new batteries (see page 1) or charge rechargeable batteries.
Connect cable to camera and computer port (see page 45).
Install the software (see page 44).
Disconnect the USB cable. Close all open applications. Re-install the
software (see page 44).
Disconnect camera from the computer. Close all software applications,
reconnect camera.
