The contents of a disc consist of sections, called titles, and smaller sub-
sections, called chapters.
A DVD Menu is displayed each time a DVD is inserted into a DVD player and
serves as a title page or table of contents for playing the video DVD.
You can create a video DVD that display thumbnail images of titles in the
DVD Menu screen.
And you can also use pictures or favorite photos as wallpaper for the DVD
menu screen.
When you create a video DVD or AVCHD disc with the DVDirect, titles and
chapters are created as follows:
For video DVDs
(Manual Dubbing or Dubbing from DV camcorders connected via
DV (i.LINK) cable)
About Created Video DVDs and AVCHD discs
Title
Titles are created between the points where you start and stop a
recording on the DVDirect.
Chapter
Chapters are created according to the “Auto Chapter” setting
configured in the Setup menu (page 72).
DVD menu
You can set the display selected from “DVD Menu” or your
favorite photo (page 73).
Previewing on
DVDirect
You can play the video on the DVDirect.
