Accessing the Product
Controls on the Live View Page
The viewer toolbar on the Live V iew page provides the following controls:
Go to Overview mode.
Click the View size button to reduce the size of the displayed video.
Play a live media stream.
Pause the live media stream.
Start recording the video stream. An ongoing recording is indicated by a red marker. To stop recording, click the button
again. The recording is saved to the location specied in the AMC Control Panel.
Display video in Full-screen mode. Press ESC ( Escape) on the computer keyboard to cancel full-screen mode.
Take a Snapshot of the video image . The image is saved to the location spe c ied in the A MC Control Panel. Enable this
button from Setup > Live View Cong > Action Buttons.
Zoom bar — (Normal mode only) Use the slider to zoom in and ou t, or click on the
arrows to zo om in and out in steps.
The viewer toolbar can be disabled from Setup > Live View Cong.
The following tabs contain additional settings:
Displays the available Preset Positions. A preset position is a predened view that can be used to quickly
steer the camera to a specic location. Click on a preset to go to that position. For more information, see
Preset Positions, on page 27.
Displays the available Stream Proles.Astreamprole is a set of pre-congured stream settings including
resolution, compression, frame rate and overlay settings. Click on a prole to stream live video using that
prole. For more inform ation, see Stream Proles, on page 18.
The Audio tab is displayed if audio is enabled. See Audio Controls, on page 11.
The Actions tab displays:
Manual trigger buttons, see page 12.
•User-dened links, see page 25.
Output buttons. These are used to control external devices connected to the Axis product’s
output ports See page 25.
If PTZ Control Queue is enabled, the time each user is in control of the PTZ functionality is limited. Click the buttons to enter or exit
the queue. The PTZ Control Queue is set up under PTZ > Control Queue,seepage 29.

The Live View page can be customi zed to meet specic requirements and user preferences. If the Live View page has been
customized, some of the functions and controls described here may differ from those displayed in your own Live View page.
Audio Controls
The c ontrols available from the Audio tab on the Live View page are used to control the speakers and microphone connected to the
computer. The buttons are only visible when audio is enabled.
