Save a call log entry to the directory
When in the call log, press
DIR or CID to browse.
When the desired entry displays, press the Edit softkey.
When the telephone number appears:telephone number appears: number appears:
Press the dialing keys to add digits (page 40).
Press X/DELETE to erase a digit.
Press and hold X/DELETE to erase all digits.
Press
or to move the cursor to the left or right.
Press the Pause softkey to enter a dialing pause
(a P appears).
4. Press the Next softkey to move to the name.
Press the dialing keys to add characters (page 40).
Press X/DELETE to erase a character.
Press and hold X/DELETE to erase all characters.
Press
or to move the cursor to the left or right.
Press 0 once to enter a space.
5. Press the Save softkey to save the new directory entry. There is a
confirmation tone. The name and the telephone number appear.
If the entry is already saved in the directory, the screen returns to the
call log.
If there is no caller ID information, you hear an error tone. The number
is unable to save.

To exit without making changes, press EXIT.
NOTE: You will need to change how a caller ID number is dialed if the entry does not
appear in the correct format. Caller ID numbers might appear with an area code that might
not be necessary for local calls, or without a 1 that might be necessary for long distance
calls (see View dialing options on the previous page for more information).
