Manage Backup and Recovery Jobs
Create a Backup Job
To create a backup job:
1. Select Bac
kup > Backups > Jobs.
2. Click the Ad
d Backup button.
A pop-up screen displays.
3. In the Name field, enter a name for the new backup job.
The name you choose can have a maximum of 25
5 characters.
4. From the So
urce drop-down list, select the backup source (the place where you store the
primary copy of your data).
5. From t
he Destination drop-down list, select a backup destination (the place where you want
to store the backed-up data).
Depending on how your ReadyNAS system is configured, these options vary.
Note: The source and destination of the job cannot both be remote.
6. Click the Create button.
The backup job is added to the list of jobs on the Backup screen.
7. Conf
igure the backup job as described in Configure a Backup or Recovery Job on page 230.
