Using the Mode Dial

Press the Movie button to
shoot.
zShooting starts when the Movie button
is pressed. Recording will include
sound.
zDuring shooting, the recording time
and [z Rec] appear on the LCD monitor (or viewfinder).
zWhen a face is detected while shooting, the camera will
focus on that face.
zThe tally lamp blinks red during movie recording and turns
off when the recording session is over. When [Tally Lamp] is
set to [Off] in the Rec. menu, the lamp does not blink (p. 29).
zPressing the Movie button again stops recording.
Recording will stop automatically under the following
circumstances.
- When the maximum recording time elapses
- When the internal memory and the memory card becomes
full
zWhen shooting with the Color Accent or the Color Swap, be
sure to specify them beforehand (p. 59).
