Telephone operation
Options while on calls
Flash/call waiting
If you subscribe to call waiting service with your
telephone service provider, you hear a beep if
someone calls you while you are already on a call.
Press FLASH to put your current call on hold
and take the new call.
Press FLASH anytime to switch back and forth
between calls. For more information on caller
ID with call waiting, refer to About caller ID
(page 32).
NOTES:
Use FLASH to access other telephone company
subscriber services, as described by your
telephone service provider.
The telephone cannot display the information
if another telephone on the same line is in use.
Make sure all extensions are not in use.
Temporary tone dialing
If you have dial-pulse (rotary) dialing service only,
use this feature to temporarily switch from dial-
pulse to touch-tone dialing during a call.
During a call, press TONE*. Buttons pressed
after this send touch-tone signals.
Use the dial pad keys to enter the relevant
number. The telephone sends touch-tone signals.
The telephone automatically returns to pulse
dial mode after you end the call.
